“SWAMPED : ท่วม” Art Installation at Warin Lab Contemporary, Bangkok
There is a Thai expression “ผ้าขี้ริ้วห่อทอง” (pa kee riew hoe thong) or “gold wrapped in rags” that refers to paupers who actually possess great wealth, Our consumerist society, on the other hand, produces endless waves of garbage that piles up into great unwanted mounds of metals, plastics, paper and glass. In “Heap” we only look closer with creativity, and more carefully with an open mind, we can find beauty beneath the muck, and value within the undesired.
